SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's soccer team hosted their first home game of the season against Franklin Pierce University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams were impressive on the defensive end, not allowing too many shots on net during the first half of play.
- Redshirt junior goalkeeper Mikayla Demanche had an impressive save off a strong strike from junior forward Veronica Marques.
- In the 30th minute, Marques give the Ravens the first goal of the night. Her fifth goal of the season.
- The Yellow Jackets offense was picking up in the second half, but missed a few opportunities on goal, including a couple that flew over the net.
- The Ravens added to their lead, scoring their second goal in the 64th minute from senior midfielder Nathalia Maria de Silva.
- The score remained the same. Resulting in a 2-0 finish, advantage Franklin Pierce.

- Every game the Yellow Jackets have been a part of, the final score has resulted in a shutout for one side or the other.
