SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College men's lacrosse team suffered a 16-3 defeat to No.1 Le Moyne College at home on Tuesday, April 17.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Dolphins were able to jump out to an early 6-0 lead in the first minutes with senior attackman Greg White recording a goal and two assists in the first quarter.
- After Le Moyne scored at the 12:13 mark of the second quarter, the Yellow Jackets got on the board with a goal from junior midfielder Quinn Caesar to put the score at 7-1. The Dolphins would go on to net three more goals and head into halftime with a 10-1 cushion.
- The Dolphins would score two more goals in the third quarter to increase their advantage to 12-1. In the fourth quarter, the visitors would tack on two more goals to make it 14-1. With 5:37 left in regulation, redshirt junior midfielder Will Lewis scored the second goal of the contest for AIC. Sophomore midfielder Jack Shaughnessy then scored to put the Yellow Jackets within 12 of the lead with just 44 seconds left in the game. Le Moyne would add two more goals and hold on for a 16-3 victory.
BUZZWORTHY:
- With 16 stops in tonight's game, freshman goalkeeper Jacob Ortiz now has 226 saves for the season. Ortiz is now just 24 saves away from tying the single-season mark for saves in AIC men's lacrosse program history, which was set by Matt Sayegh last season with 250 saves.

- AIC will head on the road to Manchester, N.H. on Saturday, April 21 to take on NE10 rival Southern New Hampshire University at 1 p.m.
