- AIC lost in the team's 2017 NE10 finale by a score of 19-6 at Saint Michael's on April 22.
- Kevin Papineau '17 led the way for AIC with a pair of goals and an assist, while five Purple Knights scored at least two goals.
SCOUTING THE PURPLE KNIGHTS:
- Saint Michael's has lost five straight, but the last three have been tight; they came up just short in a 9-8 loss at Saint Rose in which they led going into the fourth quarter, and fell 9-7 against Bentley in the team's two matches before its most recent.
- The Purple Knights have done better of late, but they struggle to score goals; on the season, they have averaged just 6.50 goals per game, the lowest mark in the NE10. However, they have allowed just 72 goals, the third-fewest in the conference.
- Neither team takes many penalties; the Yellow Jackets average just two per game and the Purple Knights a mere 1.8.
