SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College men's basketball team fell to Southern Connecticut 72-61 in a Northeast-10 Conference contest on Tuesday, December 4 at Butova Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
It was a back-and-forth first half for both AIC and SCSU, with neither team able to pull away; with 14:34 remaining in the first half, the Yellow Jackets worked their way to a seven-point lead, their largest of the half, 16-9.
In a two-minute span, the Owls would go on a 9-2 run and grind back to tie the game at 18.
After nine lead changes, SCSU went into the half ahead of AIC, 36-34.
At the halfway mark in the second half, the Owls lead would grow to seven, 57-50.
With 6:51 remaining in regulation, SCSU added on four more points to extend the lead to 11, the largest lead of the game, 61-50.
AIC would respond with an 8-2 run to tighten the gap to five points with 3:35 remaining.
The Yellow Jackets were unable to convert down the stretch, falling to the Owls, 72-61.
