COACH'S NOTES:
- "While the scores certainly don't reflect the level of effort put into all the matches today, we lasted almost two full hours playing a very strong, skilled Stonehill team," said AIC tennis head coach Loni Hammons. "This week, our team has been plagued with some illness and injury, so we are still recuperating as we work through the last fourth of the season."
- "Mireya Ortega had one of her longest singles matches today, after a great showing at SNHU two weekends ago," Hammons added. "Mireya showed a lot of great promise today with her athleticism, as well as smarts on the court, as she truly pushed Stonehill's No. 6 in every point played. They were the last ones off the court, preceded by Meri at No. 1 singles, who played a strong and forceful sophomore in Isabelle Porter. It was the third time this season that Meri faced off against Isabelle Porter - The first was early in the season at doubles at ITAs with partner Taylor Pankewicz, and the second today at No. 1 doubles with partner Cecilia Salazar."
