COLCHESTER, Vermont - The American International College volleyball team rounded out its road season with a Northeast-10 Conference game at Saint Michael's College on Saturday, October 27.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Trailing 4-3 in the first set, AIC started to pull away from the Purple Knights slowly and steadily to build a 21-14 lead. After a point by the Purple Knights, the Yellow Jackets took the next four points to take the set, 25-15.
- The Purple Knights trailed 19-16 when they rallied back to take a 20-19 lead, their first since 2-0 early in the set. The Yellow Jackets made a push of their own when they trailed 23-21, going on a 4-0 run to take the second set, 25-23.
- Leading 6-5 in the third, the Yellow Jackets took eight of the next nine points to take a 14-6 lead. AIC never looked back, winning the set, 25-14.
BUZZWORTHY:
- The NCAA announced its first regional rankings for the 2018 season on Wednesday, October 24. The Yellow Jackets were slotted sixth in the East Region. Leading the East Region was an NE10 foe, the University of New Haven, followed by Adelphi University. Molloy College and Holy Family University are sitting in third and fourth, while Pace University is in fifth.
- Senior outside hitterDiva Rivas-Reyesis the fifth player in AIC program history to pass 1,000 career kills. She currently sits in third place in program history with 1,216 kills while trailingEllisha Terry, who had 1,286 kills from 2008-11. Should Rivas-Reyes pass Terry, she would hold the rally scoring era program record.
- Junior outside hitterJana Poticrecorded her 1,000th career kill at Adelphi on September 29. Currently, Potic has 1,173 kills, which is good enough for fifth place in program history. With her performance against The College of Saint Rose, she jumped Sarah Neaves, who had 1,148 kills, for fourth place. She now trails her teammate Rivas-Reyes for third place.
- Potic jumped ahead of Rivas-Reyes in total points in program history on October 2 at Franklin Pierce. Potic recently pasted Neaves in total points. She currently has 1,360.5, with Rivas-Reyes right behind her with 1,296.5 career points. Potic is now chasingEllisha Terry, who had 1,487.5 points from 2008-11. Should Potic pass Terry, she would hold the rally scoring era program record.
