HOW IT HAPPENED:
- AIC looked to have opened the scoring early, as a shot on a penalty corner bounced to senior forward Devyn O'Connor at the right post with an open net, but there was a foul ruled on the play.
- Michelle Lemelin tallied the first goal of the game on a corner at 19:55, jamming in a shot right after an initial bid was stuffed at the line by junior back Chelsea Davis.
- The Hawks doubled the lead at 27:00, as Hannah Friend finished on a pass from Abby Walker on a corner.
- Hannah Potter scored the third goal of the half at 31:03, putting back a rebound after a shot was saved by freshman goalkeeper Jessica Stone.
- Potter scored twice more in the second half for the hat trick; in spite of the two goals, Stone was tough in the second half, making 13 of her 15 stops in that frame.
