LAST TIME OUT: John Magliano found the back of the net on his senior day, but the sixth-ranked Merrimack Warriors were in control, earning a 28-1 win on April 15 at Abdow Field. Matt Sayegh made 16 saves in the setback.

Saint Michael's battled Franklin Pierce on April 19, and despite a 5-5 draw at the half, the Purple Knights could not pull out a win, as the Ravens outscored their visiting rivals 3-1 in each of the remaining quarters in an 11-7 contest. Ralph Grillone had two goals and two assists in the loss, while Bobby Frank struck twice, and Matt Hanley made nine saves.

LAST TIME THEY MET: A huge second quarter propelled Saint Michael's to a 21-9 win at Abdow Field on April 23, 2016. Up 5-1 after one, the Purple Knights poured in 11 goals in the second stanza. Despite being outscored 6-5 in the second half, that was more than enough for the victory. Luke Allen and Kevin Papineau were among the goal scorers for AIC, while Magliano made nine saves in goal.

SCOUTING SAINT MICHAEL'S: Bryan Loughlin will be the player to stop for the Purple Knights, with team highs in goals and assists of 12 and 10. Grillone has 10 goals and six assists, good for second in points on the team, while Connor McGuirk has eight goals on the year and Charlie Murphy has six goals and six helpers for twelve points. In net, Hanley has started every game and played nearly all of the minutes, posting a .535 SV% with 116 saves.

SAYEGH RISES IN THE RANKS: Rookie keeper Matt Sayegh continues to impress in net. The national leader in stops is up to 226 on the campaign, 83 ahead of Liam Guiton of Saint Rose, who sits second in the NE10. If Sayegh holds on to his national lead in saves, with two games still to play, he will be the second Yellow Jacket in three years to do so; Perry Booker stopped 219 to lead all goalkeepers two years ago.

In AIC's record books, Sayegh is sixth among all goalkeepers in stops in a season; at the top is Mary Jo Lavoie, who made 259 saves for the women's team in 2000. Corey Pelkey is second overall and first among men's players with 243 in 2001, edging Mike Kennally's 239 in 2000. Booker stopped 235 in 2014, and Gina Gallo's 227 in 2009 sits one ahead of Sayegh in the fifth spot. Current women's lacrosse senior Alexis Torosian holds the seventh spot with 217 in the 2015 campaign.

NEXT UP: The Yellow Jackets close out the season with a trip to Lakewood, New Jersey, where they will visit Georgian Court University on April 25.
