SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts- The American International College men's lacrosse team suffered a 16-2 defeat at the hands of the Franklin Pierce Ravens in Northeast-10 Conference action.
AIC falls to 0-10 overall and 0-5 in the NE10 with the loss, while FPU improves to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
The Ravens scored six in the first quarter and built an 8-0 edge into the second before AIC got on the board, with senior
John Magliano ripping home his ninth of the season from the left side at 3:39 of the frame.
The Ravens tallied the next three goals, but just before the end of the half, freshman
Sam Scarfo hit the target at 14:40 for his fourth of the year.
Franklin Pierce was able to hold AIC off the board in the final 30 minutes, scoring three in the third and two in the fourth for the 16-2 final.
In AIC's net, freshman
Matt Sayegh made 14 saves to fall to 0-10 on the season.
AIC next hosts Assumption on Wednesday, March 29, with a 3:30 p.m. scheduled start.
