Field hockey drops close bout at Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, New Hampshire - The American International College field hockey team battled hard but could not find the net in a 1-0 loss at Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, October 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Neither team generated much offense; the lone goal of the game came in the first half as Carly Canavan popped in a rebound after a scramble in front of the net on a penalty corner.
  • The Ravens held AIC without a shot but only managed six of their own, as AIC's penalty corner defense held FPU to just two shots on target on the eight corners.
