Alexis Torosian had a strong showing in her final home game, but the American International College field hockey team was stymied offensively in a 4-0 Senior Day loss to Merrimack on Saturday, October 21.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Warriors and Yellow Jackets traded chances early, but it was Rylie Hammond who found the target first at 20:07. Hammond then set up Lindsey Nolte for a goal at 26:06, and Taylor Simpson added a third goal before the half expired at 34:03.
- AIC drew a penalty corner at the end of the period, but Chelsea Davis's blast was stopped by Katharina Ohmen.
- Both teams generated tons of chances in the second half, with 31 combined shot attempts.
- Astoundingly, only one went in; Mikayla Panneton pushed home a fourth opportunity after two saves by Torosian and a defensive save by Katie Lombardozzi for a goal at 63:43.
SAVES RECORD NEAR FOR TOROSIAN:
- Torosian is approaching the total career saves record for all goalkeepers across all women's sports at AIC.
- Gina Gallo '11, who played three seasons of field hockey and four seasons of lacrosse, made 714 saves in her career. Torosian's combined 581 saves for women's lacrosse and 123 field hockey stops give her 704, with two games left to break the record.
