PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania- The American International College men's basketball team started its three-game road stretch against Holy Family on Saturday afternoon. Despite shooting 0% in overtime, the Yellow Jackets were able to make seven free throws and take the game by a score of 61-59.
The Tigers got the game started with a three just a minute and a half into the game before
Bruce Spruell knocked down a mid-range shot to make it a one-point game. After a Tiger layup,

Tahlib Swan leaking out as Swan threw one down in transition to cut the Tigers' lead down to one.
The Yellow Jackets gained their first lead of the game with 15 minutes on the clock on a shot from the Liberty Bell from
Kassim Kaba. From then on, the Yellow Jackets did not relinquish the lead the rest of the half, and entered the locker room up 24-18.
The Yellow Jackets built their second-half lead up to 13 before the Tigers made their move. The Tigers cut the lead to single digits on a fast-break layup with 11:57. With 22 seconds left on the clock and the Tigers down two, Randy Bell of the Tigers missed a layup but Dyllon Hudson-Emory was there to tip the miss in and force overtime.
The Yellow Jackets took three shots in the overtime period, but the Yellow Jackets could not put one through the net if they were not at the charity stripe. With 40 seconds left in the game Swan knocked a free one down to take the 60-59 lead. He added one more for insurance with two seconds left to give the Yellow Jackets the 61-59 win.
Swan led the team with 19 points and 14 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive end.
Jayvon Pitts-Young chipped in 13 points and Kaba had 10.
Max Risch pulled down pulled down a career-high 16 boards.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Sunday, November 27 at Goldey Beacom. Tip-off is scheduled for noon.
