#14 LIU Post Too Strong For Yellow Jackets

BROOKVILLE, New York- The American International College football team traveled to Brookville, New York to take on #14 LIU Post. The Yellow Jackets held the Pioneers to just three points in the first half, but the Pioneers added 19 points in the second half to take the 22-7 win.

The Pioneers changed their point total first with a 24-yard field goal right before the end of the first quarter. The scoreboard stayed like as the two teams went into the locker room.

On the second half kick-off, the Pioneers' return man ran the ball to the AIC 30, a 61-yard return. Seven plays later, the Pioneers ran in from a yard out. The Yellow Jackets' Isaiah Robinson was able to get a hand on the PAT and keep the score at 9-0.

The Pioneers keep the attack coming and took the 22-0 lead. The Yellow Jackets did not give up as they got the ball with 7:54 left in the game. In 13 plays, the Yellow Jackets went 81 yards in almost three minutes that was capped off on a one-yard run by Reco Facey.

Kwame Jarvis threw 36 passes with 13 completions. Willie Brown IV led the team in on the ground with 30 yards on seven carries. Evan Graham caught four passes for 42 yards, with a long on 16 yards.

Jerrod Shelby tied a career high in tackles with 14, marking the third time he has recorded 14 tackles this season. Lorenzo Melchiorre was the only other Yellow Jacket with double-digit tackles with 11. Christopher Boteler punted seven times for 275 yards and an average of 39.3. His longest punt of the day went for 66 yards.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, October 29 for Senior Day against the University of New Haven. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
