The American International College women's soccer team will host the Franklin Pierce Ravens in a midweek Northeast-10 Conference matchup.

LAST TIME OUT: AIC found the back of the net twice in the second half to beat Saint Anselm 2-0. The Jackets had several strong bids in the first half, including a trio of chances by forward Brianna Bishop and a shot by forward Isabella Burns that was barely kept out of the net. However, it was not until midfielder Jessica Margaretta put back a rebound of a shot by midfielder Johanna Nilsson in the seventy-first minute that AIC opened the scoring; they would add to the lead ten minutes later when forward Federica Frew sent in forward Merissa Phipps on a breakaway from the left side. Goalkeeper Madison Brown had five saves in the shutout.

Franklin Pierce suffered a blowout loss at Adelphi, dropping a 5-1 decision. The opening six minutes featured a penalty kick for Adelphi that was turned aside and two goals in a forty-five second span in the sixth minute, with Adelphi striking at 5:14 and Franklin Pierce responding at 5:49. However, the second half was all Panthers, as they poured in four goals to sink the Ravens. Casey Cook took the loss, allowing three goals in 57:57.

LAST TIME THEY MET: AIC needed a late penalty kick to down Franklin Pierce 1-0 on October 20, 2015. The Ravens managed to keep AIC off the board for most of the game, but forward Taylor Kue was fouled inside the box after taking a pass from Frew, and back Romina Bell '16 was able to punch the ensuing PK home in the eighty-third minute for the only tally of the game. Rachel Edgin '16 had five saves in the shutout victory.

TWO TO GO: Two standings points will clinch a berth in the Northeast-10 Championship Tournament; a win would do the job, or if both Southern New Hampshire and Le Moyne draw or lose. In addition, a win and a draw or loss by Assumption against Merrimack would lock up fourth place and a home game in the first round of the Tournament on November 1.

SPREAD OFFENSE: The Yellow Jackets have scored 15 goals this season, and nine different players have been credited with a tally after Margaretta and Phipps added their names to the list.

NEXT UP: The Yellow Jackets face off against Adelphi University in a battle for the top spot in the NE-10. Start time Saturday is 6:00 p.m. in Garden City, N.Y.
