Football falls to Bentley in Homecoming contest

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College football team fell to Bentley University by a score of 5-3 on Homecoming Day on Saturday at Ronald J. Abdow Field.

The Yellow Jackets fall to 3-4 on season and 3-3 in Northeast-10 Conference play.

Christopher Boteler converted on a field goal at 11:35 of the fourth quarter to bring AIC within a score of 5-3, but those would be the team's only points of the day.

Bentley took an early 2-0 lead with 2:50 left in the first quarter on a safety, and later extended the lead to 5-0 on a field goal with 3:12 left in the third quarter.

AIC quarterbacks Kwame Jarvis and Joseph Czelusniak combined for 147 passing yards on the day. Willie Brown IV rushed for 45 yards, while Marcel DePina had a net of 43 yards.

The Yellow Jackets next play on Saturday, October 22, when they travel to Brookville, New York, to take on LIU Post.
