LAST TIME OUT: The Yellow Jackets dropped a 2-0 outcome against the Assumption Greyhounds at Abdow Field. AIC struggled to get the offense going as they were held to just two shots through the first sixty minutes of play. Though the Jackets mounted pressure late, they were unable to break Assumption's shutout.
LAST TIME THEY MET: AIC drew eight penalty corners, but could not turn the opportunities into shots on goal as they fell 2-0 to the Hawks on October 17, 2015 in Manchester. Saint Anselm scored one goal in each half as they outshot the Yellow Jackets 17-7, including a 12-2 margin in chances on target.
Taylor Ross made ten saves in the defeat.
POLL POSITION: Five Northeast-10 teams were named in the most recent NFHCA Coaches' Poll, with each of AIC's next three opponents on the list. The Hawks are ranked sixth, while Stonehill is fourth and LIU Post is fifth. Adelphi, at ninth, is the other team named to the poll.
HOME AWAY FROM HOMECOMING: Yellow Jackets Head Coach Ashley Mazzoli will face her alma mater on homecoming weekend, as she is a 2007 graduate of Saint Anselm. She was one of three captains during her senior season in 2006, and scored 16 goals with three assists for 35 points in her Hawks career.
