Myers comes to AIC after spending the last few years coaching in the premier youth soccer leagues in Michigan. Myers has five-years of experience coaching all ages of premier youth soccer as he managed to do so even through his time as a collegiate athlete.
Myers played collegiately at Northeast-10 foe Southern Connecticut State University where he graduated in 2013 with a B.S. in Communications with a concentration in Video Production.
"Having played four years in the Northeast-10, Julian has a vast amount of knowledge of the conference which will help him to make an immediate impact to the program" commented Perry.
Since graduating Myers has continued his playing career in the Professional Indoor circuit spending time with the Rochester Lancers and the Seattle Impact Football Club as well as leading the Lansing United to a Great Lakes Conference Championship, a Mid-West Regional Title and a National Semi-final appearance this past season in the NPSL.
With the Yellow Jackets, Myers will assist in all aspects of the program with a strong concentration on video analysis, strength and conditioning, recruiting, and coaching the JV program.
"Julian is a great character to have around a team, his enthusiasm and desire to improve everyday will help to motivate and inspire the players" concluded Perry.
Both Perry and Myers graduated in the same class from SCSU and played the final two years of their collegiate careers together compiling a 16-15-2 record including a 13-11-2 mark in NE-10 play.
