SPRINGFIELD, Mass.  The American International College Field Hockey team has joined hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled Play4theCure, in which sports teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to NFCR.
	AIC Field Hockey will be raising funds during their games versus Saint Anselm and Merrimack College October 26th beginning at 1 p.m. at Ronald J. Adbow Field in Springfield, Mass.
	
	Their will be a 50/50 raffle, gift certificates for local restaurants, as wel as men's and women's basketball and ice hockey, and selling pink Play4TheCure t-shirts and bracelets.
	
	"The AIC Field Hockey team is excited to take part in the Play4theCure initiative this year. Unfortunately, cancer has touched the lives of every one of our players and coaches in some way. On October 26th we will play to honor our loved ones lost to the disease as well as those courageously battling it. All monies raised will be donated to NFCR to help fund research for a cure to this terrible disease." 
	Players for the AIC team will be wearing pink uniform jerseys in support of the cause. There will be a 50/50 raffle at halftime of the game, with the proceeds going to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. D
