McLean Nets Two As Field Blanks Saint Michael's, 4-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American International College field hockey team finished the season with an offensive explosion, punching in four goals and blanking Saint Michael's Saturday afternoon on senior day.

Yellow Jacket goalkeeper Kori Huffman (Brattleboro, Vt.) and midfielder Courtney Williams (Westfield, Mass.) were honored before the game for their accomplishments on and off the field.

With the win AIC finishes 8-10 and 3-7 in the Northeast-10, while the Purple Knight's were eliminated from the postseason and finish 6-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

The Yellow Jackets got on the board early, as sophomore midfielder Erica McLean (Bradford, Conn) scored nearly nine minutes into the game on an unassisted strike.

The Yellow Jackets kept the pressure on as junior forward Jenna Masionis (Ashland, Mass) found the back of the net a few minutes later.

McLean struck again from a nice assist by senior back Courtney Williams (Westfield, Mass) to make it 3-0 Yellow Jackets at halftime.

Freshman forward Taylor Ruscillo (Carle Place, N.Y.) got in the scoring action with a goal early in the second half on an assist from sophomore forward Ainslee Penfield (Greenfield, Mass).
