SPRINGFIELD, Mass, - The American International College field hockey team dropped a 6-1 non-conference contest to Slippery Rock University on Sunday afternoon at Ronald J. Abdow field.
Junior forward Kaitlin McGinnis (Morgantown, Pa.) scored two goals in the first 13 minutes of the first half to give the Rock a 2-0 lead. Slippery Rock scored two more goals to end the first half and take control of the game with a 4-0 lead.

Mackenzie Kewley (Rutland, Mass.) scored the Yellow Jackets lone goal at 38:30 off a dish from classmate

Sophomore goalie Courtney Lee (Mountain Top, Pa.) earned the win in net for the Rock playing 59:29 minutes with only making one save, while sophomore goalie
Kori Huffman (Brattleboro, Vt.) took the loss for AIC making five saves.
The Rock outshot AIC 25-9 and held a 11-9 advantage in penalty corners.
The Yellow Jackets will host Stonehill University on Tuesday afternoon at Ronald J. Abdow field for a non-conference contest.
