AIC got on the board in the bottom of the first inning as senior Dennis Duffy (Warwick, R.I.) singled down the right field line and was plated on classmate Julian Concepcion's (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) single to right field. Freshman Lucas Vallas (East Northport, N.Y.) hit an RBI single to give the Yellow Jackets a 2-1 lead.

Junior Chris Amate (Hanover, Mass.) reached on a fielder's choice, while McNiff doubled down the right field line. Both were plated on Concepcion's single up the middle. Vallas double to right center field to plate Concepcion for a 5-1 lead heading into the fifth inning.

The Greyhounds scored one more run in the top of the fourth before AIC went on to earn a 10-2 victory over Assumption.

Concepcion was 2-for-4 with one run scored and four RBIs, while Vallas went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.
