NORTH ANDOVER, MA- The American International College field hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision at Merrimack College on Saturday night in a non-conference contest. The Warriors improved to 5-1 overall, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 3-3 so far this season.

The contest remained scoreless until Merrimack's sophomore forward Danielle Dufailt (Holden, Mass.) found the back of the net at 24:43 in the first half to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. April Daugherty knocked the ball past senior goalie Kim Steiner (Little Falls, N.Y.) to give Merrimack a 2-0 lead.

The Warriors added another goal in the second half to earn a 3-0 victory over the Yellow Jackets.

Junior Goalkeeper Kerri Bergquist (Mashpee, Mass.) made six saves in the victory, while Steiner stopped 17 in the loss.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Adelphi University on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. non-conference contest.
