WALTHAM, Mass. – The American International College field hockey team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime, but eventually fell at 10th-ranked Bentley University Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 contest.
The Falcons evened their record at 6-6 for the season and 4-1 in the Northeast-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Senior midfielder Stephanie Sideris (Watertown, Mass.) scored twice in a span of 4:35 to give Bentley a 2-0 lead 13:42 into the game.

Mackenzie Kewley (Rutland, Mass.) got AIC on the board with her seventh goal of the season 10:53 into the second half and senior forward
Amanda McLean (Branford, Conn.) netted her third goal of the year with 5:55 left in regulation to force overtime.
The extra period didn't last long however as Sideris setup freshman forward Gina Lirange (Auburn, Mass.) for the game-winner just 24 seconds into overtime to give the Falcons the win.

Kim Steiner (Little Falls, N.Y.) had four stops in taking the loss for AIC.
The Yellow Jackets outshot Bentley 12-11 in the match, while the Falcons had a 7-5 advantage in penalty corners.
AIC will next travel to Franklin Pierce University Monday for a 4 p.m. Northweast-10 match.
