SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – New York Institute of Technology scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of the match to record a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the American International College men's soccer team Monday afternoon at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
The Bears improved to 7-2-1 for the season, while the loss drops the Yellow Jackets to 3-5-2.

The score remained that way until senior back Pierre Sy (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) headed the ball in off a feed from sophomore forward Matthew Didonna (West Islip, N.Y.) with 9:21 on the clock in the second half. The game appeared to be heading for overtime until junior back Staffan Alm (Enkoping, Sweden) buried a corner kick from sophomore back Javier Gallardo (Sevilla, Spain) with just 31 seconds left in the game.
Freshman keeper Liam Waddy (Northampton, England) tallied four saves to earn the decision in net fir NYIT, while sophomore keeper
Richard Lynham (Kenilworth, England) had three saves in taking the loss for the Yellow Jackets.
The Bears outshot AIC 15-10 in the match and had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action Wednesday when they host Stonehill College for a 7 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
