SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision against Franklin Pierce University on Saturday afternoon in a northeast-10 contest at Ronald J. Abdow field. The Ravens improved to 12-0-1 overall and 8-0-1 in conference play, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 4-7-3 overall and 3-5-2 in NE-10 play.

Junior forward Greg Giguere (East Bridgewater, Mass.) scored at 24:09 in the first half to give the\ Ravens the only goal they would need to earn a 1-0 victory over AIC.

Franklin Pierce senior goalkeeper Vinny Papageorgiou (Wilmington, Mass.) made one save to earn the victory in net for the Ravens, while sophomore goalie Jason Ryan (Peabody, Mass.) stooped four in the loss.

The Yellow Jackets outshot Franklin Pierce 10-8 and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

AIC will travel to Saint Rose on Wednesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. Northeast-10 conference contest.
