SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's soccer team tied Assumption College 1-1 in a Northeast-10 contest on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets improved to 3-4-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the NE-10, while the Greyhounds move to 2-4-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play.
 
Senior forward 
Thomas Denomme (North Smithfield, R.I.) scored at 36:17 in the first half off a cross from junior midfielder 
Conor Doyle (Douglas, Ilse of Man) to give AIC a 1-0 lead.
 
The Greyhounds tied the contest when junior forward Dom Mondi buried a shot at 59:55 to send the contest into overtime. The game remained scoreless through both overtimes to end to a 1-1 draw.
 
Sophomore keeper 
Jason Ryan (Peabody, Mass.) stopped nine shots in net, while freshman goalie Dylan Strachen (Fairfield, Conn.) recorded nine saves for Assumption.
 
AIC outshot the Greyhounds 28-16 in the match and held a 7-2 advantage in corners.
 
The Yellow Jackets will host New York Institute of Technology on Monday afternoon for a  4 p.m.non-conference contest at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
