About AIC - The Yellow Jackets are coming off a disappointing 2009 season that saw AIC finish 5-5 overall and 3-5 in the Northeast-10. The Yellow Jackets appeared to be in position to win the NE-10 after crushing Merrimack 41-13, but AIC dropped each of the final three games of the season. The Yellow Jackets return a strong defensive unit that will be led by senior defensive lineman
Jashawn Williams, who was named the Northeast-10 Defensive Lineman of the Year and earned all-America honors last season after registering 42 tackles with 14 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. He led the NE-10 and was second in all of Division II with 1.20 sacks per game. Senior defensive back
Allen Bush was an all-American in 2008 and will lead one of the deepest secondaries in the region. Seniors

George Hudson return at linebacker, each of which have all-America potential. The offense will once again be led by senior quarterback
Rob Parent, who has fully recovered from a season-ending injury a year ago. He currently ranks third on AIC's career passing list with 5,718 career passing yards, just 272 yards behind Rick Hebert for second.
About C.W. Post - The Pioneers, who are receiving votes in the first AFCA Coaches' Poll of the season, rebounded from an 0-3 start to finish 6-5 last season. C.W. Post win each of its final four games of the season and notched win's over eventual PSAC champ Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg, both of which went to the NCAA tournament. Sophomore running back Thomas Beverly was the PSAC Rookie of the Year after he rushed for 1,094 yards. Senior quarterback Erik Anderwkavich threw for 1,854 yards and 21 touchdowns last season and was the PSAC's top rushing QB with 715 yards and six scores. Senior Darnel Williams is the team's top returning wide receiver after catching 49 passes for 489 yards and nine TDs last year.
Preseason Picks - AIC was picked to finish fourth in the Northeast-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll, while C.W. Post was picked to finish third the PSAC East Division Coaches' Poll. The Pioneers were also receiving votes in the Preseason AFCA Coaches' Poll.
LAST TIME THEY MET: Parent completed 17-of-29 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, AIC registered a 21-6 win at C.W. Post in the 2009 season-opener for both teams. Hudson led the Yellow Jackets with 10 tackles, while
Max Brown recorded nine hits in the game. The Pioneers were just 3-for-15 on third down conversions and were 2-for-6 on fourth down. Anderwkavic came off the bench to complete 12-of-22 passes for 96 yards, while adding 41 yards rushing on eight carries.
