Lowell, Mass. – Senior forward/midfielder Sean Stevenson (Holyoke, Mass.) scored each of the game's first two goals to lead the American International College men's soccer team (3-4-1, 1-2-1 NE-10) to a 4-0 win over UMass Lowell (1-5-1, 0-3-1 NE-10).

Stevenson started the scoring when he headed a cross from junior forward Thomas Denomme (North Smithfield, R.I.) 32 minutes into the match. The score remained 1-0 until the 59th-minute when Stevenson buried a pass from sophomore midfielder Conor Doyle (Douglas, Ireland) for his second goal of the game.

Doyle added a goal off a punt from goalkeeper James Taber (Liverpool, N.Y.) when sophomore forward/midfielder Ryan Cronin (Attleboro, Mass) flicked the ball over the defense to give Doyle the breakaway. Doyle capped the scoring in the 82nd-minute with an assist from sophomore forward/midfielder Callum Congreve (Sheffield, England)

Taber made 2 saves in net to earn the victory for the Yellow Jackets, while freshman Connor Askins (Boston, Mass.) stopped four in the loss for the River Hawks.

AIC will next host the University of New Haven on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
