Waterbury, Conn. - The American International College baseball team dropped a 6-3 decision at Post University Friday afternoon in a non-conference contest. Junior catcher #Anthony Arrichiello# (Yonkers, N.Y.) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Yellow Jackets.

AIC took an early 1-0 lead after Arrichiello singled to center to score junior second baseman #Paul Maza# (Valencia, Venezuela), but that lead didn't last long as the Eagles plated two runs in the bottom half of the frame on a two-RBI double from junior designated hitter Ralph Diguez (Miami, Fla.), who was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored, to take the lead for good.

Post added runs in the third and fourth to take a 4-1 lead before AIC got back on the board with Maza scoring on an error to make it a 4-2 deficit. Post got one more run in the seventh and the two teams traded runs in the eighth for the 6-3 final.

Senior pitcher Michael Wolfe (Ringwood, N.J.) earned the win after allowing just two runs, one earned, on three hits and two walks while fanning nine batters in six innings. Junior pitcher #Zach Bunszell# (Medford, Mass.) took the loss after giving up four runs on nine hits and four walks with four strikeouts.

AIC will next travel to Bloomfield Sunday for a non-conference doubleheader that gets underway at noon.
