RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Sophomore guard
Ricky Hudson (Sewell, N.J.) scored a game-high 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field and a 5-for-6 performance from three to lead the American International College men's basketball team to a 64-62 non-conference win at Felician College Saturday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 8-2 for the season, while the Golden Falcons record fell to 2-6.
Senior guard
Allen Aragbaye (Corona, Calif.) scored 19 points and pulled down eight boards, while junior guard
Adrian Hynes-Guery (Montreal, Que.) chipped in with 11 points, seven boards and six assists.
Senior forward Devon Young (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) scored 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field to lead Feleician, while Senior center Suquan Gary (Paterson, N.J.) added 10 points with seven rebounds and four assists.
The Golden Falcons led the entire first half and used a 6-0 run to take a 24-13 lead with 8:38 to go in the opening frame. AIC later went on a six-point run of its own to close within two after a layup from senior forward Anthony (Baltimore, Md.) with seven second to go in the fame, 32-30.
It was a 33-30 game at the half before the Yellow Jackets took their first lead of the game following a Hudson jumper 3:47 into the second half. AIC took the lead for good on an Aragbaye three that made it 53-50 midway through the game and held on for the win.
The Yellow Jackets are off until after Christmas when they head to Post University December 30 for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
