WALTHAM, Mass. – The American International College field hockey team scored twice in a span of 2:50 in the later stages of the second half to record a 2-1 Northeast-10 victory at Bentley University Saturday afternoon. Senior forward
Rhonwen Peters (Aquashicola, Pa.) scored the difference maker with 6:50 to go in the game.
The Yellow Jackets improved 11-6 overall and 6-2 in the Northeast-10, while the Falcons fell to 6-12 overall and 2-7 in conference play. AIC's 11 overall wins and six conference wins are both program records for wins in a season.

Jessica Hall (Higganum, Conn.) scored off a feed from junior forward
Amanda McLean (Branford, Conn.) with 9:40 to go in the game and then setup Peters' goal less than three minutes later.
Sophomore forward Beth Maguire (Medfield, Mass.) broke up the shutout bid when she redirected a shot from junior midfielder Tori Bergantino (Waltham, Mass.) into the cage with 4:46 left on the clock.

Kim Steiner (Little, Falls, N.Y.) registered five saves, all in the second half, to post her school-record 10th win between the pipes this season. Sophomore goalie Julia Powell (Southbury, Conn.) had three stops in taking the loss.
The Yellow Jackets outshot the Falcons 12-8 in the game and had an 8-3 advantage in penalty corners.
AIC will next travel to Adelphi University Wednesday for a 4 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
