Jessica Hall (Higganum, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute to give the American International College field hockey team a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Franklin Pierce University Saturday night at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 7-5 for the season, setting a new record for victories in a single season, and moved to 4-2 in the Northeast-10. The Ravens fell to 6-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play. It was also AIC's second win over Franklin Pierce this season.
Junior midfielder Kimberley Jaksina (Townsend, Mass.) scored 11:18 into the game to give Franklin Pierce a 1-0 lead, which lasted until 56:42 when senior forward
Rhonwen Peters (Aquashicola, Pa.) tied the match with her fourth goal of the season.
The game remained tied at one after regulation to send it into the extra frame. There was just 2:55 remaining in the first overtime when sophomore forward
Lisa Duckles (Netcong, N.J.) took a shot from the top of the scoring area that was partially stopped by junior keeper Brittany Nyzio (Attleboro, Mass.) and Hall put home the loose ball to give the Yellow Jackets the win. It was her first goal of the season.

Kim Steiner (Little Falls, N.Y.) registered 13 saves to earn the win in goal, five of which came in the extra frame. Nyzio had 11 saves in taking the loss.
The Ravens had a narrow 21-20 advantage in shots, while AIC had a 15-13 edge in penalty corners.
The Yellow Jackets will next head to UMass Lowell Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
