NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The American International College men's soccer team lost Friday night to Dominican 2-1, at the Merrimack Tournament. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 0-3-0 this season, while the win improves the Chargers to 2-0-1 for the year.

Sophomore #Tim Britt# (North Chelmsford, Mass.) netted a goal in the 81st minute off a cross from junior #Sean Stevenson# (Holyoke, Mass.), to give AIC a 1-0 advantage. Dominican would not be down long, as senior Joe Wright (Stratford-Upon-Avon, England) and freshman James Flaherty (London, England) tallied two quick goals giving the Chargers a 2-1 lead.

Senior #Ryan Brooks-Newton# (Selkirk, N.Y.) made nine saves for the Yellow Jackets, while sophomore Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) stopped seven shots for Dominican in the win.

AIC outshot the Chargers 19-16 on the afternoon.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets take on Post on Sunday at 1 p.m. in their final game of the Merrimack Tournament.
