RINDGE, N.H. – The American International College field hockey team lost Saturday afternoon 4-1 at Franklin Pierce. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 2-6 this season and to 1-2 in the Northeast-10, while the win improves the Ravens to 3-5 overall and to 1-1in the conference. Sophomore #Amanda McLean# (Branford, Conn.) netted her team-leading fourth goal of the season for AIC.

Franklin Pierce took an early 1-0 lead when Kimberly Jaksina (Townsend, Mass.) found the back of the net three-minutes into the first half. McLean tied the score at 1-1 when she tallied a goal 14:16 later. The Ravens took a 2-1 advantage into the half when Tia Levins (Manchester, Maine.) tallied a goal at the 26-minute mark.

Franklin Pierce recorded two more goals in the second half for the 4-1 victory.

Sophmore #Kim Steiner# (Little Falls, N.Y.) made five saves for the Yellow Jackets, while counterpart, Brittany Nyzio (Attleboro, Mass.) stopped four shots for the win.

Next up, AIC heads to Southern Connecticut State on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
