New Haven, Conn. – The American International College baseball team lost to Northeast-10 opponent Southern Connecticut State, 15-4, Sunday afternoon. The loss dropped the Yellow Jackets to 6-25 overall, 4-15 in the NE-10, and is the team's seventh straight loss. With the win the Owls improved to 16-17 overall and 11-8 in conference play.

Senior starter Justin Cox (Newburgh, N.Y.) earned his third win of the season with a six innings, one run, and three strikeout effort. Sophomore #Dillon Fontaine# (Amenia, N.Y.) lasted just 3.1 innings and gave up 11 runs on just six hits.

Sophomore catcher Nick DeProspo (Worcester, Mass.) went 2-3 with two runs scored, two batted in, and a pair of triples. Freshman designated hitter Eric Schlitter (Guilford, Conn.) was 2-3 at the plate with four RBI for the Owls.

The Yellow Jackets return to action tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. against Franklin Pierce.
