The Yellow Jackets added a run in the fourth on an RBI-single off the bat of sophomore catcher #Anthony Arrichiello# (Yonkers, N.Y.) and Bassani hit a solo shot to left center field, his first of the season, to give AIC a 4-2 lead after five innings.

The Hawks then scored three times in the top of the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. Junior first baseman Matt Stone (West Roxbury, Mass.) sent a two-RBI double to right field to tie the game and then scored on a double to left field off the bat of sophomore catcher Matt Sucharewicz (Peabody, Mass.) to give Saint Anselm the lead.

AIC got one run back in the eight as senior designated hitter #Mike Massery# (Pittsfield, Mass.) plated Bassani from third on a ground out to second, but Saint Anslem answered when Stone scored on a Sucharewicz single to center field.
