Springfield, Mass. – The American International College baseball team took the first game of today's doubleheader 1-0 with a walk-off homerun from senior first baseman #
Kevin Farrell# (Wilbraham, Mass.). Bloomfield won the second game by a score of 10-7. The Yellow Jackets are now 2-10 on the season, while the Deacons stand at 3-12.
The two teams remained scoreless until the homerun by Farrell in the seventh inning. It was his third of the season and has hit a walk-off to win both games for AIC this season.

Bloomfield got on the board in the second inning with back-to-back RBI singles by sophomore catcher Alex Sepulveda (Newark, N.J.) and freshman second baseman Jonattan Fernandez (Paterson, N.J.).

The Deacons erupted for six runs in the sixth to come from three runs down and take the lead and hold on for the victory. Sophomore outfielder Alberto Ruiz (Edison, N.J.) went 3-4 with two runs scored and one run batted in.
Sophomore pitcher David Ricci (Jackson, N.J.) pitched one inning of relief to get the win for Bloomfield. Sophomore starter Steven Godowski (Sayerville, N.J.) gave up seven runs, four earned, in five innings.
