Men's Basketball Looks to Avoid Third Straight Loss Wednesday at New Haven

SETTING THE SCENE: The Yellow Jackets travel to New Haven for their third straight road contest Wednesday night.

ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter today's contest with an overall record of 12-9 and are 8-8 in the Northeast-10 after dropping a 68-60 decision at Saint Michael's Saturday. Freshman guard Isiah Wallace leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 17.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 31 steals and is second with 48 assists. Senior forward Lucius Millinder is second in scoring and rebounding with 10.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Junior forward Aikeem Vanderhorst is averaging 10.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game to go with 26 assists and 17 steals. Freshman guard Adrian Hynes-Guery is averaging 9.5 points and 5.0 boards per game. He leads the team with 70 assists and is second with 25 steals. Sophomore guard Sesoo Ikpah is averaging 9.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game to go with 36 assists and 23 steals.

ABOUT NEW HAVEN: The Chargers enter tonight's contest with an overall record of 7-14 and are 5-11 in the Northeast-10 after dropping a 65-60 decision to Le Moyne Saturday. Cassius Chaney leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 18.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Darryl Greene and D.J. Sackman are averaging 11.8 and 11.6 points per game, respectively, and Kevin Jackson is averaging 10.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.

LAST TIME THE MET: AIC outscored New Haven 31-15 in the second half in recording a 63-48 win in the first-ever conference meeting between the two teams. The Yellow Jackets were led by a 14 point effort from Wallace and a 12 point showing from Ikpah. Chaney scored a game-high 17 points for the Chargers.

NEXT UP: The Yellow Jackets return home Saturday when they host Assumption at 3:30 p.m.
