ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter today's contest with an overall record of 7-5 and are 4-4 in the Northeast-10 after dropping a 74-73 overtime decision at the College of Saint Rose Saturday afternoon. Freshman guard #
Isiah Wallace# leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 17.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 24 steals and is second with 36 assists. Senior forward #
Lucius Millinder# is second in scoring and rebounding with 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest and junior forward #

LAST TIME OUT: AIC dropped a 74-73 overtime decision at Saint Rose Saturday afternoon at Nolan Gymnasium. AIC trailed 73-69 with 50 seconds to go in the game before a layup from Wallace pulled the Yellow Jackets back within two and Hynes-Guery tied the game when he converted a pair of free throws with 30 seconds left on the clock. Hynes-Guery then fouled junior guard Jermaine Clark, who converted one of his two shots from the line with three seconds to go, giving Saint Rose a 74-73 lead. Millinder had a chance to give the Yellow Jackets the win, but his turnaround jumper at the buzzer fell short. AIC trailed by two, 65-63, with 1:05 left in regulation and drew even on Ikpah's layup with 50 seconds to go in the second half. The Yellow Jackets then had two chances to win the game in the closing seconds of regulation, but shots by Millinder and Wallace were off the mark, sending the game to OT.
ABOUT SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT: The Owls enter tonight's contest with an overall record of 1-10 and are 0-8 in conference play after dropping a 68-54 decision at Assumption Saturday. Their only win of the season was a 58-53 triumph at Dowling December 29. Senior forward Preston Bell leads the team in scoring at 13.2 points per game and is averaging 4.5 rebounds per contest. Junior guard Derrick Corbett is second in scoring at 11.6 points per game and is averaging 3.1 boards per game. Junior center John Mazzarella leads the team in rebounding with 10.1 boards per game and is averaging 9.2 points per contest.
NEXT UP: The Yellow Jackets return to action Thursday when they travel to Assumption for a 7:30 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
LAST TIME THEY MET: The two teams split the season series a year ago, with the home team winning both contests. AIC cruised to a 79-61 win December 8, 2007 in Springfield and SCSU notched a 76-62 victory January 12, 2008 in New Haven.
ABOUT THE SERIES: AIC holds a 36-18 advantage in the all-time series against Southern Connecticut and has won seven of the last nine meetings between the two teams. The Yellow Jackets swept the season series against the Owls during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 campaigns.
