The Purple Knights (7-11, 5-11 NE-10) received a 21-point, seven-rebound performance from senior forward Jon Zylstra (Uxbridge, Mass.). Freshman guard Alex Berthiaume (Springfield, Mass.) netted 13 points and dished out four assists and sophomore guard Nate Birr (Burnsville, Minn.) added 11 points and four assists.

Saint Michael's opened the game with an 11-2 run over the first five minutes of the game and led by double-digits most of the way. The Purple Knights led by 16, 36-20, at the half and led by as many as 21 after Birr drained the three to make it 52-31 with 9:34 to go in the contest.
The Yellow Jackets gradually chipped away at Saint Michael's lead from there and pulled within eight after Wallace's layup with four seconds on the clock.
AIC will return to action Wednesday when it travels to New Haven for a 7:30 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
