Waltham, Mass. – The American International College field hockey team dropped a 3-0 decision at Bentley Sunday afternoon, dropping its record to 0-4 on the season and 0-3 in the Northeast-10. The Falcons, who were ranked sixth in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association preseason poll, improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
After a scoreless first half, Bentley got on the board 4:33 into the second half on junior forward Nicole Murphy's (Dedham, Mass.) second goal of the season and never looked back. Junior midfielders Allison St. Jean (Lebanon, Maine) and Abbie DeMusis (Guilford, Conn.) also scored for the Falcons. Junior goalie Alyssa Sliney (Brewster, Mass.) needed to make just one save to record the win in goal.
