Men's Basketball to Host Franklin Pierce Tuesday Night

SETTING THE SCENE: AIC looks to bounce back from Saturday's loss to Merrimack when it hosts Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 contest.

ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter tonight's contest with an overall record of 5-3 and are 4-2 in the Northeast-10 after dropping a 69-66 decision to Merrimack Saturday afternoon. Freshman guard Isiah Wallace leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 17 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. He also leads the team with 19 steals and is second with 24 assists. Senior forward Lucius Millinder is second in scoring and rebounding with 13.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Junior forward Aikeem Vanderhorst is averaging 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and sophomore guard Sesoo Ikpah is averaging 11 points and 3.3 boards per game.

LAST TIME OUT: AIC dropped a 69-66 decision to Merrimack Saturday afternoon. Millinder and Vanderhorst led the team with 13 points each and grabbed six and seven rebounds, respectively. Wallace tallied 12 points and nine boards and Ikpah had 11 points and five rebounds. Freshman guard Adrian Hynes-Guery registered 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

ABOUT FRANKLIN PIERCE: The Ravens enter today's contest with an overall record of 4-3 and are 1-2 in the Northeast-10 after dropping a 65-51 decision to Southern New Hampshire Saturday afternoon. Rimas Varanauskas leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 14.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest. Jeff Manchester is averaging 13 points and 3.3 rebounds per game and Kinard Dozier is averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 boards per game. Jack Barrett is averaging 6.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game and leads the team with 26 assists.

NE-10 HONORS MILLINER AND WALLACE: Millinder and Wallace were named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts last week. Millinder averaged 24 points and nine rebounds per game and Wallace averaged 14 points 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest.

NEXT UP: AIC will host Dowling Saturday in a non-conference contest. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m.
