ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter tonight's game with an overall record of 4-2 and are 2-2 in the Northeast-10 after dropping a 74-64 contest at Saint Anselm Sunday. Freshman guard
Isiah Wallace leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 18 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He is also tied for the team lead with 17 assists and has a team-best 17 steals. Junior guard
Aikeem Vanderhorst is averaging 12.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and sophomore guard
Sesoo Ikpah is averaging 12.2 points per contest. Senior forward
Lucius Millinder is averaging 9.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
LAST TIME OUT: AIC pulled to within three points with 4:40 to go after trailing by 19 at halftime, but was unable to come all the way back as Saint Anselm held on for a 74-64 win Sunday afternoon. Vanderhorst led AIC with a game-high 21 points and seven boards. Wallace added 17 points and seven rebounds while Millinder chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
ABOUT PACE: The Setters enter tonight's contest with a record of 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the NE-10 after defeating Saint Rose, 71-57, Sunday afternoon. Freshman guard Adrian Mills leads the team in scoring with 15.8 points per game and ranks second with 11 assists. Freshman guard Ryan Woods is averaging 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Junior guard Laurence McGhee is averaging 10.8 and 4.6 rebounds per contest and leads the team with 19 assists and 13 steals.
NE-10 HONORS: Freshman guard
Isiah Wallace was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week for the third time in as many weeks after averaging 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent (14-28) from the field and 81.8 percent (9-11) from the free throw line.
NEXT UP: AIC hosts Merrimack Saturday in a NE-10 contest. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. at Butova Gymnasium.
