SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Five different players scored in double figures to lead the American International College men's basketball team to a 72-60 win over Dowling Saturday afternoon at Butova Gymnasium. Junior forward #Ryan Leak# (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored a season-high 14 points on six of nine shooting from the field, including a pair of threes, as the Yellow Jackets improved to 7-3 for the season.

Freshman guard #Isiah Wallace# (Springfield, Mass.) scored 15 points, grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds and dished out five assists for AIC and junior forward #Aikeem Vanderhorst# (Bay Shore, N.Y.) also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. Sophomore guard #Sesoo Ikpah# (Williamstown, N.J.) registered 11 points to go with six rebounds, six assists and four steals and freshman guard #Adrian Hynes-Guery# (Montreal, Que.) netted 11 points with five boards and three assists.

The Golden Lions (3-5) were led by junior guard David Seagers (Bronx, N.Y.) with 20 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Sophomore guard Keith Nandin (Queens, N.Y.) added 15 points and senior guard Leonard Lans (Spring Valley, N.Y.) contributed 14 points and six boards off the bench.

Dowling scored the first five points of the game and held an early 11-7 lead before the Yellow Jackets went on a 10-0 run to take a 17-11 lead 7:23 into the contest. AIC never trailed again and closed the opening stanza on an 8-2 run to take a 42-30 lead at the half.

The Yellow Jackets held a double-digit lead for most of the second half and used a 14-2 run to take a commanding 71-50 lead with 1:57 remaining in the contest. AIC then emptied its bench and the Golden Lions closed game with a 10-1 run for the 72-60 final.
