Men's Basketabll Hosts Le Moyne Tuesday Night

SETTING THE SCENE: The American International College men's basketball team looks for its fourth win in five games when it hosts Le Moyne.

ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter today's game with an overall record of 3-1 and are 1-1 in the Northeast-10 after beating Saint Michael's, 70-58. Freshman guard Isiah Wallace leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 17.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. He is also tied for the team lead with 13 assists and has a team-best 13 steals. Junior guard Aikeem Vanderhorst is averaging 11.5 points and five rebounds per game and sophomore guard Sesoo Ikpah is averaging 11.3 points per contest. Senior forward Lucius Millinder is averaging 10.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

LAST TIME OUT: AIC registered a 70-58 win over Saint Michael's last Saturday. Wallace had game-highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds and Vanderhorst netted 17 points with six rebounds and three assists. Junior guard Mike Troll scored 14 points and didn't miss a single shot in the game. He was four for four from 3-point range and two for two from the free throw line.

ABOUT LE MOYNE: The Dolphins enter tonight's contest with a record of 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NE-10 after defeating New Haven, 64-61, last Saturday. Junior forward Kevin Hassett leads the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game and is also averaging four rebounds per contest. Sophomore forward Kevin Roth is averaging 11 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Junior forward Laurence Ekperigin and freshman guard Christopher Johnson are averaging 10.7 points per game each and Ekperigin leads the team with 10.7 rebounds per game.

NE-10 HONORS: Wallace was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week for the second time in as many weeks after averaging a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds per game while registering seven assists and seven steals in a 1-1 week.

NEXT UP: AIC travels to Saint Anselm Sunday for a 3:30 p.m. NE-10 contest.
