Lucius Millinder# (Belleville, N.J.) and freshman guard #Adrien Hynes-Guery# (Montreal, Que.) scored 12 and 10 points, respectfully, and had seven boards each. Wallace also had a game-high nine rebounds, four assists and four steals to go with his 21 points.
Freshman forward Justin Swidowski (Cinnaminson, N.J.) had a team-high 16 points and three rebounds for Holy Family. Senior guards Quincy Marshall (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Ceazer Johnson (Monroe, La.) added 11 points each.
The Yellow Jackets used a seven point run to take a 20-9 lead eight minutes into the game and led by 16 at the half, 42-26. AIC was up by 11 points, 58-47, with just under seven minutes left in the game and outscored the Tigers 17-7 down the stretch for the 75-54 final.
AIC shot 60.9-percent (14-23) from the field in the second half and shot 51.7-percent (30-58) from the floor in the game, while Holy Family was just 19 of 57 (33.3 percent) in the game. The Yellow Jackets out-rebounded the Tigers 44-27 and had a 16-10 advantage on the offensive glass.
AIC will open the Northeast-10 portion of its schedule Wednesday night at third-ranked Bentley. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
