Holyoke, Mass – Freshman #Amanda McLean# (Branford, Conn.) scored 6:02 into the first overtime period to propel the American International College field hockey team past Assumption, 1-0, Thursday night at Holyoke High School. With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-11 on the season and to 3-10 in the Northeast-10, while the loss drops the Greyhounds to 2-12 on the year and 1-11 in the conference.
Sophomore #Nicole Spence# (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) made six stops to record to shutout and victory for AIC, while her counterpart senior Jacque Dulong (Merrimack, N.H.) tallied four saves for Assumption in the loss.

The Yellow Jackets were outshot 18-12 and 8-3 in the first half, but had a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners.

Next up, AIC travels to Saint Anselm for an NE-10 match-up on Saturday at 1 p.m.
