SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - A total of 10 members of the American International College women's rugby team have been named to the 2025-26 National Intercollegiate Rugby Association All-Academic Team, the organization announced on Thursday, July 9.

To earn the accolade, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average at or above a 3.50. Additionally, they must be at least a sophomore academically.

AIC's now-associate head coach, Annekkia Ritter-Truxal, closed her student-athlete career by becoming a four-time selection after completing her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.

Graduating senior Venise Sanft earned the third accolade of her career, while her classmates Mariah Cuarenta and Morgan Schechter each earned their second selections.

In the junior class, Angel Davis, Naomi Dodd, and Brianna Dodds were recognized, all for the second time in their time at AIC, while SaTya Miller earned her first honor. 

Finally, two sophomores earned the first honor for which they were eligible in Kiyanah Edwards and Carlashia Owens.
