WEST PALM BEACH, Florida - The American International College baseball team fell 3-2 to Palm Beach Atlantic University on Sunday, March 8.
AIC is now 4-8 on the season.
All of AIC's offense came on one swing of the bat in the first as
Leandro Guevara smacked a two-run shot. However, the Sailfish grabbed a run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the first, and tied the game on an RBI single in the second.
The hosts then scored the deciding run in the fifth with a sacrifice fly.
Guevara,
Wesley Alfonso, and
Richie Segura each had two hits.
AIC returns home and will face Assumption University on Saturday, March 14 at noon in Worcester, Massachusetts in the Northeast 10 Conference opener for both teams.
