GREENWOOD, Indiana - College Sports Communications has named its 2025-26 Academic All-District Teams for basketball, and six members of the American International College basketball teams earned the honors, the organization announced on Tuesday, March 24.

From the women's team, Chelsea Reeves, Tia-Marie Martinez, Ahliya Phillips, and Peyton Grant were recognized, while Aguibou Balde and Coleman Hopson were lauded from the men's squad.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average on a four-point scale, have completed their sophomore year academically, and either play in 90 percent or start 66 percent of their teams games.

Reeves, a First-Team All-Northeast 10 honoree, is working toward a master's degree in business administration, and earned Second-Team All-Region honors from the D2CCA as well as Academic All-Conference recognition from the NE10 after finishing second in the NE10 in scoring and sixth in assists with 16.5 and 3.4 per game, respectively, while also adding 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

Martinez, who is completing a master's degree in nursing, shot 39.5 percent from deep and 94.7 percent from the free throw line while running the point for the team, dishing 73 assists and grabbing 35 steals across her 27 games.

Phillips, who along with Reeves and Martinez co-captained the squad, is finishing a criminal justice degree, and played in 25 games at guard for the team, scoring 63 points and snagging 45 boards.

Grant, who is finalizing her nursing degree, played 26 games, and scored 76 points with 19 assists and 12 steals on the season.

Balde, the men's team's captain, is in his final semester of work towards a general business degree. He averaged a team-best 31.3 minutes per game, averaging 11.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest, the latter leading the squad.

Hopson, the lone underclassman of AIC's six honorees, led the team with 115 made field goals and averaged 11.2 points per game as he played in 27 matches for the program.

All six earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
